An exceptional 17-year-old genius boy Ian Taylor Schlitz has set an outstanding record as the youngest African American with a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Tarleton State University in the United States of America.
Taylor’s remarkable academic journey began at 11 years old when he enrolled at Tarrant County Community College in 2016 and he proceeded to the University of North Texas in 2020 just a year later.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Integrative studies at the age of 15 from the University of North Texas before he proceeded to Tarleton. Taylor remained persistent with his academic excellence and was admitted to Tarleton’s MBA program the same year.
Taylor earning the MBA at the age of 17 made him not just one of the youngest African Americans with an MBA in the university but also the youngest in the world. He mentioned that the MBA program enhanced his potential.

Celebrating his achievement, Taylor expressed his gratitude to Tarleton State University for embracing him and not allowing his age to deter him from continuing his education.
“The programme and professors helped me enhance my critical thinking, leadership, and communication abilities while also providing a solid foundation in business basics. I appreciate how they welcomed me wholeheartedly and did not let my youthful age prevent me from continuing my education,” he said.
Taylor is the CEO of Kidlamity Gaming & BeinBian, which was founded to meet the growing need for kids to have safe and deliberate spaces in esports. Esports is a crossover fighting game series published by Nintendo.
He successfully grew Kidlamity in the first two years and held multiple esports tournaments for kids ages 7 to 17 across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
The young CEO disclosed that his love for video games influenced his decision to choose Tarleton State University, as he saw it as an opportunity to make a difference. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he reshaped his business face to create BeinBian Studios, a boutique animation studio that specializes in custom block animation productions.
His creative works have gained recognition in the block animation industry and his studio continues to grow. He currently leads global animators and editors who create short videos for content.
Blackwall Times reports that he will be continuing his educational journey at the University of North Texas where he will be studying for a PhD degree in learning technology. He plans to explore how gamifying education can be used to engage students in learning different subjects.
He also plans to make sure that the use of technology in education is deliberately designed in a way that would embrace and engage diverse communities in the United States.
Taylor also shared his achievement with excitement on his Twitter page, celebrating his success and announcing his next plan. “Thankful to have completed my MBA from Tarleton State. Ready to come home to UNT and start my Ph.D. in Learning Technologies at UNTCOI this Fall,” he wrote.
