Brilliant lady wins $60,000 sponsorship to US university, set to study Political Science

A brilliant lady named Luisa Bautista has earned 60,000 million dollars worth of scholarship offers to study at any University of her choice in the United States.

Luisa Bautista graduated from KIPP Academy Lynn School Collegiate. She is an immigrant who relocated with hopes of getting a better life and future in the United States.

Luisa was invited to The Today Show to share her journey to college and her experiences as an immigrant. She opened up about her sacrifices to achieve higher education as immigrant to the United States

At the end of the interview on the Today Show, Luisa was surprised with the news that she was selected to be a Goldberg Scholar. She received a scholarship worth of 60,000 dollars to fund her at the university.

The Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program selects 15 KIPP students nationwide to receive $60,000 over four years and an assigned mentor in the field of their career interest.

Luisa mentioned that her dream is to become a prosecutor and lawyer. Her goal is to assist individuals who have experienced domestic abuse and unjust homicides. She hopes to ensure that these individuals receive the justice they rightfully deserve.

She mentioned that as a victim of domestic abuse, she did not get the proper representation and one of her goals is to help other people who have been through a similar situation to get the appropriate guidance in the legal field.
