A brilliant 23-year-old Lady from Serbia named Emilija Jovanović has been awarded a fully funded PhD scholarship to study at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom immediately after completing her Bachelor’s degree.
Emilija Jovanović earned her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Belgrade in Serbia. During her undergraduate studies, she won several awards including the Saint Sava Award which is the highest Serbian national educational and scientific recognition.
She was awarded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of her country following her extraordinary contribution to the development of science in the country. After her graduation in 2022, Emilija won a direct PhD scholarship to the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
Announcing her latest achievement on LinkedIn, Emilija stated that she was awarded the Ivan D. Jankovic Scholarship at the University of Cambridge to pursue a Doctorate Degree in Stem Cell Biology.

“Over the moon to share that I’ll begin my PhD in Stem Cell Biology at the University of Cambridge,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
