A brilliant lady named Oluwanifemi Olajuyigbe has emerged as the best engineering graduate in the whole of Nigeria after she bagged an Electrical Engineering degree with outstanding first-class honors of 4.93 over a 5.00 cumulative grade point average.
Oluwanifemi bagged her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Federal University of Technology Akure in Nigeria. She graduated with an outstanding 4.93 over a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point average.
Her remarkable performance earned her the Best Female Engineering Graduate in Nigeria. Sharing her success on Linkedin, Oluwanifemi said that she is excited to have won the prestigious award.
Oluwanifemi was presented the 2023 Aramide Adeyoye Prize for the Best Female Engineering Graduate in Nigeria by the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN). She also won the award for the overall best-graduating student of her university.

Oluwanifemi said she is thankful for the transformative experiences and opportunities that played a pivotal role in her success and professional growth while at the university. She also earned a spot on her department’s Academic Honour Roll upon graduation.
She mentioned that she consistently made the Dean’s List for five consecutive years and was a recipient of the MTN Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship. Oluwanifemi added that her accomplishments represent years of unwavering commitment and hard work.
She expressed her gratitude to APWEN national headquarters for presenting her with the esteemed award adding that her achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of her parents, family members, academic mentors, and colleagues.
Oluwanifemi stated that as she steps into the next chapter of her career, she looks forward to merging her passion for engineering with machine learning and data science to solve real-world problems and optimize various systems.
”Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement and determination to make meaningful contributions to the world through engineering, science, and innovation. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” she said.
