Motlatšo Godongwana earned her doctorate degree in Demography and Population studies at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She graduated with four publication o0n her thesis and research.
Motlatšo bagged both her bachelors degree in the same Demography and Population studies at the same University of Witwatersrand and graduated with honors ion both of the degree.
She shared her achievement of receiving her Phd with four publications at the University. She mentioned that despite being a mother of one, she was able to pull through the course of study successfully.

Motlatšo stated that the educational journey was challenging, saying that having a little child together with studying was tough and she felt like giving up at some point.
”I have a PhD in Demography with 4 publications from the University of the Witwatersrand. It feels surreal, With a toddler, the journey was tough, lonely and at times impossible,” she wrote.
Motlatšo expressed her gratitude to her supervisor, Professor Nicole De Wet describing her as someone incredible. She also thanked her family for their support and encouragement.
