A young African lady named Dimakatso Mitchell Sowana who dropped out of the university because she was pregnant fights all odds to return to school. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Law.
Mitchell is a South African who has gone through several travails ever since she was a kid but she survived through them to become an attorney of the Law. She shared on her Linkedin that she lost her both parents before the age of 13.
She pushed her way through to enroll in the University of South Africa. However, fate was not on her side as she got pregnant while studying for her undergraduate.
This incident caused Mitchell to drop out of school in order for her to be able to take good care of her child. Two years later, she returned to the University of Limpopo, South Africa where she was enrolled for a bachelors in Law.

”I fell pregnant while at the University of South Africa, dropped out of school to take care of my child, and returned to start from scratch at the University of Limpopo 2 years later,” she said.
Mitchell stated that against all odds, she obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in International Law and Legal Studies from the University of Limpopo. She proceeded to earn a certificate in Risk Management from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
She also holds another certificate in Commercial and Contract Law from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Mitchell has also been admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the High Court of South Africa.
Mitchell stated that though reaching a significant milestone, she faced some challenges and difficulties that came along but she was able to pull through with courage and determination.
She is also a contracts guru, Legal Advisor, Risk Management Expert entrepreneur, and corporate Speaker and she noted that her innovative personality inspired it.Â
Mitchell is currently studying for a Master of Management in Governance and Management at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
In another story, a 23-year-old Sarah Mwangi who got pregnant and gave birth while studying has bagged a nursing degree from the University of Texas El Paso in the United States.
Sarah Mwangi is a Kenyan woman who was awarded a scholarship to pursue her studies in the United States because of her outstanding athletic abilities. However, her life took an unexpected turn when she got married and became pregnant.
