A young man from Pakistan named Abdul Qudoos Sohal has achieved the exceptional feat of graduating from the university and getting called to the bar simultaneously.
Abdul obtained his Bachelor of Law degree at City London, United Kingdom but his graduation was delayed because of the Covid-19 Pandemic according to the university’s website.
He went on to further his studies at City Law School where he was called to the Bar of England and Wales as part of The Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. The following day after his Bar graduation, he also walked the stage to collect is bachelor’s certificate.
Abdul was also the student speaker at the university’s graduation ceremony. “I wanted to become a barrister so I chose to continue studying the Bar at City,” Abdul said

“It has been a hectic few days as just yesterday I was called to the Bar of England and Wales as part of The Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, so I can now practice as a barrister in court,” he added.
While in the university, he was an active member of every aspect of the university. Abdul worked as a Student Councilor at the City’s Students’ Union and was President of both the International Student Society and Grays Inn Society.
He currently works as a Managing Partner at his law firm, Sohal Law Chambers in his home country of Pakistan. Abdul also regularly teaches students at the Blackstone School of Law and Business and Superior College in Lahore, Pakistan.
After his bachelors, Abul went on to earn a master’s degree in Law (LL.M) at the same City University, United Kingdom. ”I have always felt inspired to pass on the knowledge that I have gained during my studies,” Abdul said.
”This feeling has stayed with me throughout my time at City and now that I have graduated I am teaching tort law, trust law, and professional ethics to around 600-700 students. I hope to inspire my students the same way that my City professors inspired me,” he added.
