Brilliant man bags 4.82/5.00 bachelors degree, sets record as the only first-class graduate in his department

A brilliant Nigerian man named Olabode Channels Okunade has made history as the only first-class graduate of his department at the University of Lagos, Nigeria after bagging his bachelor’s degree with a 4.82/5.00 cumulative grade point.

Olabode bagged an Employment Relations & Human Resource Management degree from the University of Lagos with an outstanding 4.81/5.00 cumulative grade point. He scored the highest grade point and was the only first class in his set.

He shared his achievement on Twitter sharing that his accomplishment is an historical one. He broke the University of Lagos’s Department of Employment Relations & Human Resource 42 years of history as the highest grade point scorer since 1982.

”One and only First-Class Honours graduate in my set. Highest in my department 42 years of history (since 1982) as confirmed by dept office,” he said.

Listing all of his accomplishments as an undergraduate, Olabode said he was one of the fifty students selected for the Tekedia Mini-MBA scholarship in West Africa. 

He stated that he was also one of the ten chosen for the Trans-Entrepreneurship program that united minds from the University of Iowa, USA; the University of Lagos, Nigeria; and Sup Deco Dakar, Senegal.

Olabode mentioned that he was also the president of the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement and Human Resource Club of the University of Lagos. He stated that he is excited about his achievements and is looking forward to boundless opportunities.
