Despite suffering racial abuse, brilliant Nigerian Physicist graduates from University of Glasgow UK in flying colours

An exceptional Nigerian Nuclear Physicist, Ijabla Pius has graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nuclear and Environmental Physics from the University of Glasgow, UK despite suffering racial abuses.

Pius who graduated from the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola with a First Class Degree in Physics narrated that he has dreamt to be a Nuclear Physicist since the age of 17.

Celebrating his achievement on Linkedin, Ijabla Pius noted that his success came with a lot of struggles in the United Kingdom especially when he suffered racial attacks. He noted that he was supported by two of his Scottish colleagues Craig and Fraser who stood by him when he was depressed.

“During my MSc at Glasgow I encountered different racial attacks, but my two Scottish colleagues Craig and Fraser were outstanding personalities even though sometimes I am depressed but these guys help me immensely to see how I scale through,” he said.

Narrating his experience further, he said he wished his late Father is alive to witness this joyous moment.

He thanked everyone who has helped him in one way or the other at the University of Glasgow, including his Master’s Degree Supervisor, Dr David J Hamilton.
