The University of Essex is a public research university in Essex, England. It was established in 1963, welcomed its first students in 1964 and received its Royal Charter in 1965. Essex’s motto, “Thought the harder, heart the keener”, is adapted from the Anglo-Saxon poem The Battle of Maldon. The scholarship comes with an award of £3,000 for the selected candidates payable towards the tuition fee during the course of study at the university.

Be graduating from Sussex in 2024 with a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelors degree
Have accepted an offer of a place on an eligible Masters, either part time or full time, to start in September 2024Â
2024 graduates from Bachelors degrees at the Sussex Artificial Intelligence Institute, Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJSU) are eligible for the Sussex Graduate Scholarship, should they have graduated with a First or Upper Second Class degree
