Each year, the Board of Admissions at Boston University awards the Presidential Scholarship to incoming first-year students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
Boston University is a private research university in Boston, Massachusetts. The university is nonsectarian but has a historical affiliation with the United Methodist Church.
It was founded in 1839 by Methodists with its original campus in Newbury, Vermont, before moving to Boston in 1867.Â

To be considered for the Boston University Presidential Scholarship, you must:
- Be an international incoming first-year student
- Apply for admission to one of the available undergraduate programmes at Boston University
- Demonstrates exceptional academic achievement.

- The Boston University Presidential Scholarship is $25,000 tuition scholarship renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study at BU.
