A brilliant Nigerian lady named Ekundayo Tolulope has achieved outstanding success at Adeleke University, Nigeria after he bagged an Accounting degree with a 4.89 first-class grade. He also won 10 notable awards for his performance.
Tolulope obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Adeleke University Osun Nigeria with a 4.89 over a 5.00 cumulative grade point average, an achievement she shared on her Twitter.
”A first class graduate at 19! BSc Accounting. Yeah I did that,” she said. Tolulope won different awards both in the academic and extracurricular categories totalling 10 for her remarkable performance.
She mentioned that aside from holding a BSc in Accounting, she is also a Certified Accounting Technician (AAT) under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) which she earned in her third year in the university.

Tolulope mentioned that she also gained some experience from working in an audit firm while in her third year. She said even though her department does not allow internships, she applied for a request letter and she was granted.
”I have a certificate about from my BSc accounting. I’m also a certified accounting technician (AAT) under the ICAN. In my 300 level, my department doesn’t do internship but I applied for a request from the school to give me a request letter,” she said.
She stated that while in school, she faced criticism because of her age. Tolulope recounted an interaction where a parent questioned her ability to get a job due to her age and small stature.
Tolulope said despite these challenges, she refuses to let her age or height deter her from achieving her goals.
She mentioned that she worked very hard to achieve a first-class degree noting that she maintained a perfect grade point average of 5.0 six times and completed her Accounting Technicians Schemes (ATS) Programme at the age of 17.Â
Advising older students who fear their parents might be disappointed in them, Tolulope said there is an assurance that their parents are proud of them as graduating from university alone is a significant accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated.
