A brilliant Nigerian man named Oluwafemi Afolabi has bagged a masters degree in Civil Engineerimg at the University of New Haven, in the United States.
Oluwafemi earned his bachelors degree in Civil and Enciromental Engineering with honors at Kwara State University, ,Malete Nigeria before he moved to the United States for his postgraduate studies.
He proceeded to bag a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of New Haven, Connetictu in the United States, an achievement he shared on his Linkedin with gratitude to everyone who supported him.
”I’m honored to announce the completion of my Master’s degree journey at the University of New Haven,” he said.He said the academic journey from Nigeria to the United states has been a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the unwavering support of his family and God.Â

Oluwafemi said he is grateful for the opportunities he had while in the United States, including the invaluable internships at Whiting-Turner and sponsorships from the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).
Oluwafemi said these experiences shaped his professional path and enriched his personal growth. Oluwafemi thanked his professors at the university noting that their guidance and mentorship were instrumental in his academic success.
He acknowledges that his success is built upon the foundation laid by others, especially his parents, professors, mentors, and friends. Oluwafemi thanked them for the support and belief they showed him throughout the journey and he is looking forward to the future with a sense of purpose.
In another story, a young Nigerian American lady named Lola Tomorrow who was expelled for being dull while at Illinois, Chicago University finally becomes successful as she gets appointed as a white house official in the United States.
Lola Tommorow who is currently an event planner and youth mentor bagged a bachelor’s degree in Meeting and Event Planning at Illinois State University, Chicago in the United States.
Lola said she was expected to pursue a career in law, engineering, or medicine when she enrolled at Illinois State University but instead went on to organize different events for college students.
She took the advice and decide to pursue a career in Events Management. However, her Nigerian Father did not support her decision but her mother supported recalling that she had always had an interest in management right from a young age. Read more about Lola HERE.
