A young lady named Anita Makori who suffered several rejections in an attempt to continue her education in the United Kingdom has finally won three fully funded scholarships to Top universities in the United Kingdom.
Anita Makori who had encountered several rejections after she bagged her bachelors degree earned three acceptance letters from University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London.
Anita shared her achievements on LinkedIn celebrating her acceptance into three Top universities in the United Kingdom saying it is a result of her perseverance. She added that she did not only earn an acceptance, she also won three fully funded scholarships.Â
She was awarded the Cambridge-Mastercard Foundation scholarship, Chevening Awards & Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust joint scholarship, and the Mastercard-Afox (Africa Oxford Initiative) scholarship).

Anita graduated from the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Kenya in 2020 and had been making an effort to further her studies in the United Kingdom.
She had initially got an acceptance into the University of Oxford but was unable to resume school because of her inability to pay the tuition fees. Anita persevered on, proceeded to graduate school, and continued applying for scholarships.
Anita stated that during the period of her rejection, she learned the significance of resilience and determination.
