A young Nigerian lady named Ayodeji Matuluko has achieved remarkable academic success in the United Kingdom.
Ayodeji started her higher education in Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at the University of Lagos before she migrated to the United Kingdom to further her postgraduates studies..
In the United Kingdom, she earned a master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy with a minor in International Practice and police at the University College London, England after which she studied for a postgraduate research certificate in Research Methods.
Ayodeji earned a one-year research certificate at Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, in the United Kingdom part of an optional PhD personal development plan after which she proceeded to earn a doctorate at the same university.

Ayodeji shared her achievement of earning the degree in Applied Health and Public Health Research on her Linkedin highlighting her dissertation topic. She dedicated her PhD thesis to her parents who gave her everything needed to achieve her dreams.
She mentioned that her dissertation focused on exploring influences on the implementation of interventions to improve antibiotic review in Scottish acute care hospitals.
She said during her PhD, she had a fulfilling experience through various activities and collaborations. Ayodeji said she worked with the Scottish Antimicrobial Prescribing Group on her project and took on leadership roles in the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
Ayodeji stated that she also participated in projects with the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CwPAMS), and served as a Teaching and Research Assistant in the university’s MPH program and the SIREN Scotland study group.
She mentioned that she also achieved a Distinction in a PGCert in Research methods and won the university’s 3-minute thesis competition in 2021. Additionally, she attended numerous training sessions, presented research at conferences, and published work related to her PhD.
Ayodeji expressed her gratitude to her parents, and siblings for providing her with unwavering support throughout the challenging PhD journey. She said despite the difficulties, the experience was rewarding.
