A 35-year-old African soldier named Malita Kasongo has earned three degrees including a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Medicine at the University of Zambia, Lusaka in Zambia.
Malita Kasongo, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Zambia Army earned her first bachelors degree in Human Biology and afterwards she earned another bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Zambia, Lusaka in Zambia.
Lt. Col. Malita has now obtained a Masrters of Medicine degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same University of Zambia, She took to Linkedin to celebrate her achievement.
She stated that she believed in her abilities and worked hard to earn the masters degree through determination and resilience. L. Col. Malita said what she loves about being in the Military is the Order, Discipline and Tradition.

Lt.Col. Malita has been serving in the Zambia Army for seven years and has been promoted severally as an active member. Despite being in a top position in the army, she did not relent in her dream to become a doctor of obstetrics and Gynecology.
She mentioned on her LinkedIn profile that she has worked as a medical practitioner for over 9 years. Lt. Col Malita added that she enjoys every aspect of her job and has gained diverse experience as an obstetrician-gynecologist, a military doctor, and a football team doctor with expertise in occupational health.
”So when I’m not doing my military duties or delivering babies or attending to the soccer players, I’m busy with occupational health,” she said.

She said the exposure has contributed to her personal growth, enhancing her character, experience, leadership skills, and passion. Colonel Malita said though she lives by the word “determination,” she also prioritizes maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
