A young man named Brad Butler II who was bullied because he was dull has bagged a Master’s degree in counselling from Pillar College in the United States after studying for ten years.
Brad Butler is a 33-year-old man from New Jersey who had all his education in the public school system. He received special education classes for over ten years and also had to endure bullying from his classmates because of his learning disabilities.
After earning his Master’s degree, Brad shared a post on his LinkedIn page to celebrate his achievements. He appreciated his family and friends who supported him through his educational pursuit
“To God Be the Glory in all that I do. I’m so thankful for my friends, family, my wife and most of all God. Without my support system I can honestly say that this would not have been possible,” he wrote.

He mentioned that he did not plan to take the Master’s program but he is excited to have the degree despite being a special education student for ten years.
”A Masters in Counseling was the last thing on my mind but clearly God had other plans for me, my life and my career. After spending 10years in special Ed classes, who would have thought that one day I’d earn a Master’s degree. “God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called” 1 Corinthians 1:27-29,’’ he added.
Brad earned his bachelor’s degree from Kean University and now he holds a Master’s degree in Counselling from Pillar College in the United States.
Though a victim of bullying and abuse, Brad didn’t let his obstacles defeat him but he rather saw them as an inspiration for him to work towards his success.
Brad recently launched his own company called Brad Butler II & Associates, LLC, which helps students connect their dreams with their education and also educators connect with their students using research-based strategies and components of social-emotional learning (SEL) and life experiences.
“My purpose in life is to motivate, inspire, and empower young people all around the world to live their dreams and put forth their best effort and everything they do,” he said.
He is a certified speaker under Dr Eric Thomas. Brad is also a three-time author of motivational books.
Apart from being an author, Brad travels round the world as a motivational speaker and educational consultant. He has spent over eight years traveling from school to school presenting for students, athletes, and educators across the nation.
He provides physical and virtual presentations that are basically professional development workshops. He also coaches mentees on public speaking. His goal is to help people become the best version of themselves.
Brad encourages everyone to take full advantage of any opportunities that come their way.
“My message is, as long as you tap into your gift, the opportunities are limitless,” he said. “Most people feel they’re stuck in place and bound to one thing or another, but that’s not true, make your next day your best day,” he added.
