13-year-old African-American boy graduates US high school, set to teach young students how to make money

An exceptional  13-year-old African-American boy named Caden Harris has graduated from Atlanta High School and has plans to teach young students how to make money.

Caden Harris is a teen from Georgia who acquired a school bus that he and his father transformed into a mobile financial literacy bus at the age of 11. He describes the bus as a vibrant and dynamic classroom on wheels that brings financial education directly to schools and communities.

Caden used to follow his father, an entrepreneur when he was 7, and instead of just sitting, he would listen and take notes of their conversations according to the Atlanta Journal.

“People talked about financial literacy and other things I didn’t understand, so I took it upon myself to learn about it, I talked to experts and attended an online class,” he said.

Caden said he was very eager about his new knowledge so he began sharing it with friends teaching them the basics of how to make money.

“I created flashcards to teach them the difference between an asset and a liability, about dividends, about financial terms,” he said. “I also made an activity book, and they always have fun with it. I take it at a slow pace, and they get it,” he added.

Caden said he also put his lessons around earning, saving, and investing money into a slide presentation that he showed in classrooms, at career days, and during other school events.

He started his “Caden Teaches Finance” program for elementary and middle schoolers and acquired a commuter bus for outreach. The bus served as a mobile classroom with a mock bank, grocery, and stock exchange designed to give kids a real-life lesson on finances.

Caden said he has an unwavering commitment to this mission and has already left an indelible mark having empowered and educated 50,000 children about the principles of sound financial management.

With his high school graduation, Caden now sets his sights on a new inspiring endeavor with plans on traveling across the nation, visiting schools, and mentoring the next generation of budding entrepreneurs and financial leaders.

Caden plans to achieve his goals through engaging workshops, interactive sessions, and his charismatic presence, He aims to instill invaluable financial knowledge and leadership skills in young minds.
