A brilliant Nigerian lady named Prisca Akaniro who abandoned her ongoing studies at the University of Nigeria(UNN), West Africa because she spent three years in her first year of study has finally graduated from another university in the United Kingdom.
Prisca, a Computer Science student at UNN, dropped out and moved to the United Kingdom to start afresh after experiencing a delay.
Narrating her story on Twitter, Prisca’s sister, Peppy said she spent 3 years in her first year instead of the normal four-month timeline in the Nigerian university due to the academic union strike, the COVID-19 pandemic, and some other factors.
Peppy said that realizing the delay, it became unbearable for the family. It was then they made a decision to sponsor her to the United Kingdom to earn the degree. At the United Kingdom, she enrolled for a bachelors degree in Compute Science at Nottigham University.

”My baby sister spent 3 years in 1st year at UNN thanks to Covid, ASUU strike, etc. By the third year, we couldn’t take it anymore & sent her to the UK for her B.Sc in Computer Science,” she said.
Prisca did an international first year(Foundation Year) which she earned a distinction at Nothigham University befoire she started her bachelors degree. She obtained her bachelors of scienece in Computer Science at the university in just three years, the same span of time she wasted back in Nigeria.
Sharing her achievement on Instagram, Prisca expressed her gratitude to her family for their support adding that she will forever choose them as her family.
”The day I graduated . I would choose my family again and again every time. I love them so much and I am forever grateful to all of them,,” she said.
Peppy mentioned that in addition to her accomplishment, Prisca received a job offer three weeks after she graduated from Nottingham University. ”She finished in 3 years, graduated 3 weeks ago, and got a job today,” she said.
Prisca said she is eager to leverage academic foundation and passion for technology to contribute to innovative software development projects.
