A young teenage boy named Demetrius Profic has acceptance from twenty eight different universities to study for his bachelors degree in the United States.
Demeritus is Dulaney High School senior who was accepted into 28 different universities and colleges across the United States. He stated that he applied to 29 universities and was accepted to 28.
He told 11 News that out of the 29 Demeritus applied to were seven Ivy League universities and he was accepted to everyone of them. Demeritus stated that he also received enough scholarship money to attend college for free.
“I kind of went a little crazy with my college applications, so I did apply to 29 schools. It was a lot of essays, a lot of supplementals that I had to write but it turned out pretty well,”he said.

“We were really, really shocked. It was a really surreal moment. We all started crying on the phone. It was kind of crazy, but it was really, really shocking,” he said.
Demeritus said his success is not by accident, but a result of hard work. “I did work hard here at Dulaney. I took a lot of Advanced Placement courses), a lot of extracurriculars,” he said.
He participated in different extracurriculars including being the president of the mock trial team, RHO Kappa Honor Society, and UNICEF. He was also co-president of Teens Against Trafficking.
Despite his busy schedule, Demeritus still graduated with a 3.9 grade point average. He stated that he is narrowing down his top four choices of universities to Yale University, Princeton University, Columbia University, and Stanford University.
Demeritus stated that he would like to study political science and go on to become either a lawyer or a politician. Advising all other students, he encouraged them not to limit themselves adding that they should try as much as they can.
