In another story, a 29-year-old man named Frank Baez obtained his bachelor’s degree from the same university where he worked as a cleaner to fund his education.
Frank Baez bagged his bachelor’s degree in nursing at New York University. He told Good Morning America that he moved from the Dominican Republic to New York City with his mother at the age of 15.
Upon getting to New York, he decided to help his family financially by becoming a janitor at New York University’s Langone Tisch Hospital. Frank said watching the Nurses at the hospital while he was cleaning inspired him to be a nurse.
After working for a while, Frank said he decided to enroll for a bachelor’s degree at Hunter College making him the first person in his family to attend college. He returned to New York University to complete his Nursing degree.
”I just studied a lot and worked a lot. I felt that I wanted to do something more for myself, that I deserved better, and that I wanted to continue to move forward and grow and go on with my life. What I did was, I never gave up,” he said. Read more about Frank HERE.
