A brilliant African lady named Liz Ngani has won the prestigious Chevening Scholarship to study for her master’s degree at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom.
Liz Ngani is a Kenyan lady who bagged her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Moi University in Kenya. She has achieved the exceptional feat of winning a Chevening full scholarship to continue her postgraduate studies.
Liz shared her achievement on Linkedin celebrating her win of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship for her masters. She stated that she will be joining the University of Sussex to study for her Master’s in Foundations of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health.
She said that she feels honored and humbled to be part of the few Africans who were recipients of the Chevening Scholarship noting that there were 70,930 applicants from 160 countries and only 2% were chosen.

Liz stated that she has always had a passion for creating access and promoting mental health in her community. She said the master’s scholarship is an opportunity for her to be well-equipped with the expertise and networks that are needed to keep improving mental health in Africa.
She expressed her gratitude to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Chevening Awards, and the University of Sussex for giving her the opportunity to study in the United Kingdom.
She said she will be using the opportunity to connect with other global leaders and continue making positive contributions to her society.
