The University of Queensland Scholarship is worth $60,000 in study support for eligible Australian and international students to pursue relevantundergraduate degrees at the university.
UQ has a strong focus on teaching excellence, having won more Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) than any other university in the country and attracting the majority of Queensland’s highest academic achievers, as well as top interstate and overseas students.

The University of Queensland Vice Chancellor Scholarship is designed to encourage and support international students who are going to enroll or are currently enrolled in a degree program at the University of Queensland, Australia.
UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is part of the UQ Academic Scholarship program. The scholarship was established in 2009 and is maintained by funds from The University of Queensland and donors.

University of Queensland Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for the University of Queensland Scholarship, you must:
- be a current or intending domestic or international student of UQ
- have achieved a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of 99.00 (or equivalent) for your year 12 studies
- complete, or have completed, year 12 in the two-year period prior to the year of the award
- have not completed any previous tertiary study other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program)
- have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC and have UQ listed as your 1st QTAC preference
- are intending to enrol as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2025 (or 2026 if deferring your tertiary place).
- have not undertaken any tertiary study at Bachelor level or high prior to enrolling in the programs listed above (new students)
- do not hold another scholarship that the Director considers to be similar.

Queensland Vice Chancellor Scholarship Duration and Reward
University of Queensland Vice Chancellor Scholarship is an annual award of $12,000 to all selected candidates for a period of five years.
Required Documents
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- a cover letter
- a resume
- a copy of your Year 12 report (or equivalent)
- a copy of your ATAR Advice Notice (or equivalent).
- You’ll also be asked to prepare your short video that’s no longer than 1 minute, and to respond to a few short answer questions to demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria for this scholarship.Â
