A brilliant African man named Alhassan Ibrahim has bagged his doctorate with an 100% grade at Mississippi State University in the United States.
Ibrahim earned a doctoral degree in Sustainable Bioproduct at Mississipi State University with a 4.00 final grade points, an achievement he shared on his Linkedin stating that the journey has shaped him greatly and helped me reach academic success.
”As I reflect on my academic journey, I am filled with emotions ranging from excitement to gratitude. It has been a remarkable journey, one that has shaped me profoundly and led me to the pinnacle of academic achievement,” he said.
Ibrahim began his academic journey at the University of Ghana where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry after which he proceeded to the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia where he earned a Master degree in Chemistry.

After earning his master’s degree, Ibrahim studied for a doctorate in Chemisty for a year at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals before he transferred to Mississippi State University.
He said his journey began with a spark of curiosity, and a desire to explore the detailed realms of science and sustainability however the spark ignited a passion that fueled his academic pursuits across three countries and continents.
Ibrahim stated that each degree he earned was not just a milestone but a chapter in his story of determination, perseverance, and growth.
He added that his master’s degree at King Fahd University of Petroleum was a transformative period where he explored groundbreaking research, refined his analytical skills, and embraced the challenges and joys of academia.
Ibrahim said his journey at Mississippi State University was a chapter marked by countless hours of research, collaboration, and discovery. He said in the course of earning the degree, he was blessed to receive multiple honors and awards.
He was awarded the Best Annual Poster Presentation in 2022, a third-place finish at the Graduate Research Symposium Oral Presentation in 2023, and the CFR Award for Most Outstanding Student of the Year in 2023, all while maintaining a perfect grade point average.
He said his last few months at the university were memorable as he defended his Ph.D. Dissertation which is a culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
Ibrahim said weeks after, he received the certificate for completing the prestigious Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) program 2023-2024 which enhanced his readiness for an academic career.
He expressed his gratitude to his family for being his pillar of strength, especially his wife. Ibrahim mentioned that his three daughters were born in three different countries and continents, just like his three degrees, which is a testament to the global and diverse experiences that have shaped his journey.
He also thanked two of his colleagues for their guidance and his lab mates for the memorable journey. He said he is grateful to his dissertation committee members and the Department of Sustainable Bioproducts faculty members for their invaluable contributions and support.
Ibrahim said moving forward, he is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, the impact he can make in the academic world, and the chance to inspire future generations of scholars and researchers.
