Your three-year development programme will see you working as a partner in the Diageo business.
About EABL Foundation
The EABL Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of East African Breweries, founded in 2005. It assists people in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania through five areas of activity: water supply, education and training, health, environment, and special projects. Through the skills for life program, The EABL Foundation provides scholarships for undergraduates in the three East African Countries.
Its ongoing projects include the construction of an optical center in Moshi, Tanzania, the support of the Sickle Cell Association of Uganda and the donation of an Ultra Sound Machine to Kirwara Hospital in Thika, Kenya. The foundation has supplied over KSh. 70 million (approx. US$972,000) in university scholarships.
The EABL Foundation conducts special projects in times of disaster and when emergency relief is needed. Most recently, the foundation took part in the Save A Life Fund, in which it donated over KSh. 14 million (approx. US$194,000) towards famine relief
This initiative enables people and communities to fulfill their potential and improve there life prospects. It accords Skills for Life Scholarships unreserved attention by applying a significant investment in the university education of bright but needy students.
EABL Foundation recently invested US $ 257,500 to aid in the university education of students across East Africa. So far over US$ 750,000 has been spent with students benefiting from this programme that enables them to fulfill their potential and improve their life prospects.
This is a broad and challenging development programme offering real roles and valuable experience from day one.

Opportunity is open to recruits across West Africa (Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria), Southern Africa (South Africa, Seychelles), and Eastern Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and DRC).
The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries
You should have, or be expected to gain, an upper second-class degree, and your academic record must be excellent.
There will be an induction event to give you a fuller understanding of Diageo Africa – this is a good springboard for your career with the company, as well as being great fun and an excellent opportunity to network with your peers.
During you first rotation you will have the support of a graduate buddy. You’ll also spend time with our sales force, out in the field, to increase your commercial awareness – it’s vital that every graduate understands our brands, our customers and the way we sell.
In the second year of your programme you will have a mentor, chosen from the Africa leadership team, for the highest quality of support. There will be opportunities for you to explore other avenues for development at regular reviews with your line manager.
In addition, there are connect and development events each year, which will help you raise your profile in the company and learn from some of our most experienced leaders. It is essential that you can build strong relationships, influence others and work well under pressure.
