Apply Now: Custom Begins Recruitment Exercise For 3200 Personnel

The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, yesterday, announced the commencement of its recruitment exercise, beginning from midnight Wednesday. custom officers Comptroller General of the NCS, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd) stated that within the next three week, the organisation would be seeking to recruit 3,200 officers and men to fill existing vacancies.

Ali, who was represented by the acting Deputy Comptroller General (DCG), Human Resources Development, Sanusi Umar, disclosed that the recruitment exercise had secured the approval of the Federal Executive Council, FEC and is in compliance with requirements of the Federal Character Commission, FCC. According to Ali, the recruitment would be conducted to fill 800 spaces in the Support Staff for Superintendent Cadre, while 2,400 spaces would be for Customs Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadre in the General Duty category. He added that details of the recruitment exercise would be carried by seven national dailies from Wednesday, while a web portal for applications,

He said, “We are determined to conduct an exercise that is credible, fair and transparent. We will deploy all machineries within our powers to ensure that the integrity of the exercise is not compromised. “I want to reiterate that the portal for this exercise can only be accessed through the official service website where no fees will be demanded.”
